Couldn't figure out how to add Pass Side Stiffener work to previous review so posted this additional review. The pic associated with this one shows Pass Side Stiffener welded with weld locations seam sealed prior to using Eastwoods xtreme Platinum product (4 hr flash time) But needed to wait 48 hours to fully cure before next step. After 48 hr cure, used Eastwoods xtreme Chassis Black, 2 coats (15min flash time). And Finally will rubberize.

Any Salt Belt driven xj will benefit from rust mitigation. This frame stiffener is just what my auto body technician needed. The most common issue seen in the review pictures (seen here and elsewhere like naxja and jeepforum) is a rusted out Fuel Hose Frame Pass-Thru (if that's what they call it). Luckily, only the oval shield insert on the Fuel Hose Frame Pass-Thru needed to be re-fabricated. Frame steel good but stiffener's definitely needed. Opted against using Dirtbound's custom Leaf Spring plate that relocates axle snubber but had to deal with a broken snubber bolt (re-drilled and tapped) so had to enlarge stiffener relief hole for that snubber bolt. Fit and worked good my jeep didn’t have a rear frame left or a shackle mount, these added enough strength to buid my new frame and connect it up to a solid frame

This is a fantastic product! Every XJ owner needs to do this upgrade ASAP. I had to do a bit of cutting and grinding because I have an aftermarket rear bumper and rear leaf spring shackle mounts that were in the way. This would probably fit great with a stock application. Before installation the rear of the XJ would creak/pop/bang everytime I hit a large bump. After installation this is all gone and the ride is quiet. This ride also feels nicer. I attribute this to the fact the leafs and shocks can now handle 100% of the bumps instead of the unibody taking some of the movement from the bump. Do yourself a favor and buy this, it is a must have for every XJ.

Awesome Purchase.. My son's 2001 Jeep frame started to show some age with rust here and there. These Stiffeners fit like a glove, did some rust cleanup with a grinder and placed the stiffeners, welded them up and primed and brushed on DIY bed liner and it looks great! Not to mention firmed everything up! Thanks for a great product!!

Certainly more compliant than 3/16, fitment was so much easier than when I did the front section...I suggest when people do this, to drop the tank and clear out all the rust

bought these about a year ago to fix some unibody frame rust. they worked great. probably took 4-5 hrs to install. excellent product.

Pretty good and easy design. Just wish they wrapped around to the inside of the unibody. But other than that was easy to weld. Everything fit like it was supposed to.

Very clean and easy install, 10 out of 10. Just ordered the mid and front and I’m sure it’ll be a great fit and finish just like the rears. Also got a cool bottle opener as a gift. I’ll be coming back for all my Jeep stuff

I have IRO stiffeners in the front, homemade angle iron for the center, and these for the rear lol. I was going to buy them through IRO but these were cheaper and accomplished the same thing. Would recommend.
