Great design. Just would have been nice to have some sort of intended instructions for installation, to know what side the longer brackets were intended for. All I had to go from were photos from other reviews.

Got the spacer and didn't know how to install it until i got there battery tray in. I mocked the spacer and tray together and had to bolt down the spacer separately from the tray. I drilled 3 holes in the body and ran bolts from the bottom up, i was afraid the would interfere with the tire while offroad. I bolted the spacer down then put the tray down and marked the 2 holes that were next to each other. I decided to drill and tap these holes because it would be too difficult to put bolts through without drilling all the way through. I made a third hole and luckily i was able to match it to a hole from the spacer. I used long bolts on the spacer and was able to add a nut to the 3rd hole. Spacer made this install possible. This "kit" worked out to be the ticket! It will help to prevent a deer or elk (maybe) from taking out the grill and radiator! Which will let me at least be able to drive it. Just hope the future doesn't hold that store?! The notching done on the center tube on both sides for the tab on the end tubes was not necessary?

So far as quality the welds are solid an the parts fit together nicely. The parts are bare unpainted steal. So this was not a one day install. I had to prime an paint the parts my self. Also the hole for the temperature sensor was on the far side so I had to drill a second one in the proper place in the left side of the tray. In addition I had to modify the hold down so it would not rub on the radiator hose. Mind even the much more expensive ones on the market would require the same modification. That is why I am only giving 3 stars. I did enjoy working on the whole thing, an I had an idea of what I was getting in to.

Great DB Offroad quality as usual...though have yet to find a way to fit in to my XJ, only wish there were instructions for placement/install.....

Took forever to get which I expected. These are very well built !! Nice and thick. Look to be laser cut. Very very sturdy. I would definitely by them again and I highly recommend them
